Well, my prepairations for my trunk show are going well. However I have been reduced to remedial collections...I guess I was doing it wrong...whatever.

The fates have smiled...watch out.
Today I cemented an agreement with a antique and vintage style shop that is going to host my first 'show'.

Plagosus
Hey, thanks for stopping by and taking me to lunch. That was a very nice break in my week, and it is good to see that you are working on getting out of that hole that you work right now. VW is a great place to work, and I am not just saying that because I am brainwashed. My only comment about this place that is not completely positive is that sometimes the work load can be out of control. Thank goodness that is not the case right now.

I really hope they hire you.

Batten down the hatches
Well, the current saber rattling and other terrifying behavior by our current government are making me paranoid. So, in that vein, I am stocking up my freezer and planting a garden. Does that make me as goofy as the people who stocked up on strange stuff and hid in the hills waiting for Y2K? I really don't care.

For some reason, the strange messiah complex that our current pres. has scares the crap out of me. Enough so I am registering to vote.

Spring is coming, Hurrah!
Last night I noticed how much the pets (dog and cat) are shedding, and then I saw that my cherry tree in my front yard is starting to bloom. Spring is grand.

Oh, and my escape artist dog, Stella, dug under the gate of her kennel area, and stole Briefcase's boots, and took them out into the perpetual rain storm that is our back yard. That was not a good move on her part, because Briefcase can throw a guilt trip like nobody else.

Silly dog.

Looking forward....
Next week Briefcase and I are off work all week. We are planning home repair and improvement, and some laziness. And possibly a trip to the beach. We are looking forward to not having work, although I expect that by the end of the week, we will either want to strangle each other, or never go back to work.

Had a quiet weekend, with the exception of the wedding that we went to on Saturday. By the way, wedding food sucks, generally.

My dog bent the frame of the gate for her kennel, so yesterday I reinforced it with steel bars. Maybe that will keep her from bending that part of the kennel again...maybe.

Day Off!
Today I am taking a day off, not for any fun purposes, but to go and take care of a speeding ticket that I got on the way to work one morning. However, after the time in court, I am going to start scraping wall paper in the bathroom.
Aside: who thinks that two tones of brown are a good idea in a small bathroom with no window?

And of course the playing with the dog, which is my reward for actually doing what I said I would, and being a responsible adult (darnit).

Mercy recieved...sort of
Today, to spite the week that went before it, has been good. Work is good, as in busy and interesting and entertaining. One of my buddies from work bought me lunch (thank you very much, Katie) and now I am on the auto dialer, which allows me time to play. Maybe things are looking up.

And low....a rain of fire and brimstone.....
Haven't been on the journal in a while, because of a variety of annoying, creepy, and downright expensive things happening, including reposession, someone sabotaging my water in my home, and embarrasment at work, plus a lein being put against my driver's licence because a cop that pulled me over didn't tell me the date I was supposed to go to court. If you find me cowering under the digital bed, and chanting something about being invisiable, you know I have had yet another blow to my ego and pocket book. Mercy.

Hi ho, Hi ho, its off to work we go....(whistles)
Yeah, I am happy to be back to work, even though I am still sick as a dog. Maybe because I am going to be on dialer for the next three hours, and don't have to use too much brain power to do so.

Perspective
Nothing like spending the day with no one but your pets to put illness in perspecive. At least I had plenty of trashy fiction, dvds of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and junk food to eat.

Wow I really have nothing important to say, so I am going to go back to watching Buffy.

Working the late shift, and since we have an auto dialer here, I can fool around between calls. So I can annoy all of my buddies. Technology is so fun.
